A Night of Giving
Fall in love with charity this holiday season!
Mark your calendars for December 13th. This year the Fabulous Women are introducing an event that captures the “Spirit of Holiday Giving.” Over the past three years we have gained a wonderful audience that has enjoyed The Festival of Trees. It has been a successful tradition that has drawn families throughout Sonoma County, and we have raised close to $50,000 for local charities. The beautiful tree auction will be back next year. This holiday season we are trying a new and exciting format. We will be having a festive gathering that will include food, music and a charitable surprise that should not be missed. You will get the chance to be “The Giver.” How exciting would it be to select a local charity of your choice and give away several thousand dollars?
We will invite local charities to attend this affair. It is a wonderful way for the community to interact with nonprofit leaders and hear about their amazing contributions to our town. We will open this event up to the public….The collective spirit is wonderful, and collaboration is truly fabulous!
Guests are invited to dress up in something festive and bring an appetizer or dessert to share. We will have live Christmas music by, “The Dirty Red Barn.” Donations will be collected during the night toward a charitable fund that that will be gifted at the end of the evening. As guests donate money, they will be given “Golden Raffle Tickets.” This is where the excitement really kicks in. Someone in the room will win the title of, “The Giver.” They will decide which nonprofit(s) should win the money. This will be an incredible night because we are celebrating charity and our local community.
“The Giver ” must be present to win. However, the charity does not have to be present to become the beneficiary. We will encourage The Giver to select a charity that has some local representation. That might mean that our immediate community benefits from their organization or local people are heading up a charity that provides hope, service, or aid to an established global project. This organization must also have a registered Tax ID.
For businesses that have generously participated in Festival of Trees in the past, we would love your support again. This year we are asking for a gift card or prize for our “Community Giving Tree” which will be raffled at the end of the night. In addition, we are looking for cool experiences for our silent auction. The proceeds from the Community Giving Tree and silent auction will also support the charities that are selected by “The Giver.”

If your heart tells you to take on a larger role for this charitable affair, we are looking for a few “Santa’s Helpers” A sizable donation of $1,000 or more to this fundraiser will allow you the chance to become a main sponsor and present a check during the event. In addition to presence on our signage and social media, you may address the crowd with a holiday salutation. What a great way to highlight your business and possibly leverage your donation into several thousand dollars. The larger the donation…..the greater your chance is to win!

Each person should bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Make this your Christmas party! Call your colleagues, come with a group of friends, or bring your partner for an exciting date night.
