Care-Giving With Grace ~ Creating a Path for Dignity and Love

The Fabulous Women’s Group is very excited to gather the community for a very important topic about care-giving. This workshop will address the concerns that relate to elderly care and it will discuss the emotional changes that affect the entire family.

As our loved ones come to terms with changes in their health and realize their limitations, we must also figure out the best tools available to offer them emotional support, physical care, safety, and comfort.

Statistics Show….

“Among all adults with at least one parent age 65 or older, 30% say their parent or parents need help to handle their affairs or care for themselves.”

There is a growing need for care-givers as our parent’s generation lives longer. More often than not…….people between the ages of 40 and 59 are thrust into the care-giver role with little preparation. This workshop will provide the strategies needed to address the emotional fatigue, discuss quality care options and answer financial questions. It will also highlight local resources that can be supportive during the care-giving journey.

We have lined up several wonderful professionals to speak at this event. We have authors that will share personal stories that validate the challenges and blessings associated with care-giving. We have healers and resource professionals available for your questions. Yes, every person who has volunteered to put this day together is invested in serving our seniors and providing the best advice for local families. They will truthfully address what we need to put into place to help our loved ones age peacefully. They will also offer loving wisdom to help us take care of ourselves during this difficult process.

This is for men and women. If you are already in a care-giving role……….then this will be very beneficial to you. BUT just because your loved ones aren’t dependent right now doesn’t mean you shouldn’t come. In fact, we are courageously addressing an inevitable subject that will affect all of us at some point in our lives. It may be a parent, a grandparent, an aunt, an uncle, a husband, a wife, a partner, or a sibling. You also might want to attend because you are curious about what kind of options are out there for you. This event will strike a chord with your heart and you will be thankful to put tools in place for yourself and those you love.
