New Year…New Beginnings….

Happy New Year Fabulous Women! Before I share the details about the exciting event that we have lined up for January with local celebrity, Camilla Gray-Nelson, I wanted to acknowledge the great work that this group did this past year. It seems fitting to reflect on the special moments and causes of 2010…learning about the local magic of Mentor Me Petaluma, uncovering the truth about Multiple Sclerosis and Cystic Fibrosis, supporting the Rwanda -School Project, and adopting the hearts of Keri Casey, Ava Mortier, and Danny Cox. The amazing energy of this group keeps our events enjoyable and inspirational. Thank you for your participation and support. 2011 not only marks a new beginning for...

Reminder: Don’t Text and Drive UPDATE

Please don’t text or use your phone while you are driving…..it just takes a second for something tragic to occur. http://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/20101202/articles/101209891 Our hearts go out to the Murray family with the tragic loss of their little girl, Calli. I wanted you to know that the Fabulous Women are already organizing a gathering to support Ling Murray’s Family. I have a personal connection to the family. Ling is still hospitalized and unfortunately, Calli lost her life. She would have turned three on Christmas. This accident...

Both children are under the age of 8.It’s an emotional time for her family and the holidays pose a financial challenge. If you find yourself wanting to reach out, presents, food cards and financial donations are appreciated. Please contact myself or Heidi...

Recap of the Casey Family Event – UPDATE

I just wanted to send a heartfelt “Thank You” to all of you who came out to support the Casey Family. Martha Domont and the Club Manager, Robin, from Petaluma Valley Athletic Club (PVAC) were gracious to host the event. We had about 75 women attend and the generosity was tremendous. We raised $4,824.00. That includes the summer camps that were donated by PVAC for Keri’s kids. Special thanks to the Silva Family who also donated gymnastic camp. There were beautiful examples of courage shared by Martha Domont, Lisa Baird, Kirsten Efhan, and Miss Diane from Adobe Christian School. Keri is an inspiration. Her strength and commitment to her family has moved everyone who...

She is an adorable 7 year old girl who went to Live Oak School who is recovering from surgery for a brain tumor, and an unexpected coma that she appears to be emerging from. The family hopes she’ll be discharged from the hospital in December.
